Plenty of awards handed out at Yukon Swim Championships

Plenty of keepsakes were handed out, but all swimmers in the organization could have easily received an individual award for all of the hard work they have put in throughout the course of the year.
The award winners are chosen by the respective coaches.
The Cub One of the Year honour went to Neha Tadepalli, while Dannica Nelson finished with Cub Two award.
Savannah Scott and Korder Parkkari finished with the Black Bears of the Year, while honorable mention going to Edouard Boucier.
Polar Bears of the Year were awarded to Joshua Kelly and Taylor Campbell, while Kodiaks of the Year honours were given to Kirsten Berube and Thomas Chretien.
Silver Tips of the Year included Hayley Bielz and Tanner Cassidy, with honorable mention going to Spencer Sumanik.
Liam Mather had an outstanding first season in the Glacier Bears Swim Club, which resulted in him capturing the Rookie of the Year award.
The Leadership Award was given to Molly Purser.
Swimmers of the Year honours were shared by Alexandra Gabor and Bronwyn Pasloski, who have both had an outstanding season with both recently competing at the Olympic Trials event in Montreal.
Some notable race results at the meet included Alexandra Gabor finishing in first place in the Girls 13-14 50 SC Metre Butterfly event with a time of 29.33. Glacier Bear Julia Feoriak placed second in this race with a time of 38.22.
Taylor Campbell finished in first place in the Girls 11-12 200 SC Metre IM.
Campbell finished with a time of 3:00.52 over the four-lap race, saving her fastest lap time for last, which was an incredible 38.66 seconds.
Molley Purser won the Women 15 and over 200 SC Metre IM, finishing with a time of 2:41.76. Pursers didn’t waste any time getting out to an early lead in the race, finishing the first lap with a time of 33.79.
In the Event One of the Men 15 and over category for the 50 SC Metre Butterfly Brice Harding finished first with a time of 30.22.
Harding’s time was more than 25 seconds faster than second place Owen Monroe, who came in with a time of 56.06.
Glacier Bear Esteban Engasser placed first in Boys 8 and Under 50 SC Metre Butterfly, recording a time of 58.14.
Kirsten Berube won the Event Two Girls 13-14 200 SC Metre IM with a total time of 2:43.99. Berube swam a very consistent race, recording two times just over 30 seconds.
Her fastest time came on her last lap, which was 35.86
