Moving Haulers to play Super Geeks in junior squash final

Both the Vandelay Super Geeks and the Pacific Northwest Moving Haulers had strong finishes to a great overall season in the Sunday Junior Squash League.
The two teams went out on top, each scoring 19 points to get the victory in the final match of the league’s regular season.
With the victory both the Super Geeks and the Moving Haulers officially qualified for the finals, which will be played on Sunday at the Better Bodies Cross Training Centre.
Vandelay had an outstanding season in the league. In the nine contests the Super Geeks participated in, the team finished with 20 or more points on five occasions.
The group accumulated 184 points throughout the course of the season, which was 28 points higher than second place Pacific Northwest Moving Haulers.
Vandelay’s great play included a 29 point team high, which was scored on Jan. 27.
Consistency was also what allowed the Pacific Northwest Moving Haulers to qualify for the Sunday’s final.
The team has scored 20 or more points on three separate occasions, including a 25 point high on April 27.
The Haulers have been on a tear since March 30, combining for the most points out of the four teams in the league.
In those four contests, the Haulers have won at least 18 points in each individual outing and have won every single matchup.
The Canada Flooring Crushers and the Honda Hustlers, who are the league’s other two teams will also be in action on Sunday.
Both teams will face off against one another in the battle for third place on the final day of competition.

Pacific Northwest Moving Haulers 19, Canada Flooring Crushers 12
Three of Pacific Northwest’s players scored the individual match maximum six points in the victory.
Kai Knorr, Stephen Grundmanis and Josh Muir all anchored the offensive output for the Moving Haulers, each scoring six points, while Logan Harris also chipped in, finishing with one point.
Both Tia Oster and Benjamin Grundmanis combined for all of the Crushers 12 points, scoring six each in the loss.
The Crushers finished in fourth place in the league’s standings, combining for 116 points in the nine contest held throughout the season.
The group scored a season high 20 points on Feb. 10.

Vandelay Super Geeks 19, Honda Hustlers 8
Graydon McDonnell, Kelly Panchyshyn and Will Parked showed off their skills for the Super Geeks, scoring six points each in the victory.
Braden Brickner scored the remaining point for the team.
Sophia Flather contributed the majority of the offense for the Hustlers, finishing her match with six points. Anna-Lee Jacobsen also played very well in the loss, scoring two points.
The Hustlers concluded the season with 134 points, which included a 23 point high on March 2.
