Yukon Appliance crushes Terra Firma 9-2 in Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League

Five goals scored by Yukon Appliance in the first period was all the team needed in its victory over the Terra Firma Muckers in the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League’s ‘A’ Division on Tuesday.

Yukon Appliance limited Terra Firma to just one goal in each of the games two periods.

Spencer Tomlin led the way in goals for Yukon Appliance, scoring a hat trick and adding one assist, while Jason Berkers, Joe Martin, Chris Biron and Tyler Plaunt each added one goal and one assist.

Other goal-scorers on the team included Brian Currie and Nester Baird, who each finished with one, while Rob Wells also played a great game, contributing three assists in the victory.

Goal-scorers on Terra Firma included Mike Evans and Rene LaPierre, while Alain Desrocher and Justin Halowaty each finished with one assist.

Boston Pizza/Yukon Rad 3, Cinderwood 1

Barry Blisner, Jamie Edzerza and Trevor Twardochleb each scored for Boston Pizza in the win.

Jay Glass scored the lone goal for Cinderwood in the loss.
