Yukon RCMP have arrested a suspect wanted on sexual assault and kidnapping charges in Whitehorse.

On Friday afternoon, police issued a warrant for Phillip Tyler Reid, and were seeking the public’s help in locating the 25-year-old man.

Police released a description of Reid along with photographs, and asked anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 911.

Later that day, police issued an update and said Reid had been located and arrested without incident.

Reid has been charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of kidnapping in relation to an incident that occured in Whitehorse last Thursday.

The charges have not been proven in a court of law.
