More charges have been laid against three people Whitehorse RCMP arrested early last Saturday morning while executing a search warrant on a Riverdale townhouse.

At least one of the men facing some of the 30 charges from the raid will remain in custody for the time being.

Justice of the Peace Dean Cameron denied bail to Matthew Devellano after a hearing Tuesday afternoon.

Devellano now faces nine charges of the careless use of a firearm, nine charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and nine charges of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized in addition to one count of possession of drugs for trafficking.

Facing the same charges are Kelly Auclair and John Bourne, who is also charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Although a plan was presented for Devellano with conditions during his bail, Cameron said he wasn't satisfied that would address concerns raised by the Crown around his release.

Another bail hearing for Bourne is set for Friday, while Auclair was set to appear in court this afternoon.

Devellano's next court appearance is set for May 16.

As reported in Tuesday's Star, 1 a.m. Saturday, between 10 and 15 RCMP officers entered 49 Sternwheeler, a townhouse complex on Lewes Boulevard.

After arresting six individuals inside, officers searched the residence where they found 31 grams of crack cocaine, another 31 rocks of crack, 2 1/2 grams of powdered cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, nine firearms including an AK-47 and machine pistol, $20,000 in cash and drug paraphernalia.

Bourne, Jason Johnson, Devellano and Kelly Auclair were each charged with the possession of drugs for trafficking.

Johnson's next court appearance is set for May 16.

Two other people were also arrested in the area the same night, one who was leaving the residence and another who was visiting the townhouse.

Eli Auclair is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking while Donna MacFarlane is charged with breaching court conditions.
