Rick Gingell wafted in a shot from just over the blueline with less than a minute to play to earn EDI a hard-fought 3-3 tie with Firth in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action Sunday at Takhini Arena.
Gingell's power play goal capped a gutsy effort by the undermanned EDI squad whose goalie, Paul Dainton, was stellar in net. Dustin Heffner and Vernon Asp also tallied for EDI, while Frank Aucoin, with a pair, and Danny Johnson replied for Firth.

The Price was right Sunday, as Kirk celebrated his return to oldtimers hockey with the hat trick for the Air crew. Brian Currie, George Maratos and Stu Mackay also landed goals.
Martin O'Hagan, who slipped the tight checking of Dave White, spoiled the shutout for Capri.
Kilrich 3 Medicine Chest 2
Bruce Demchuk rifled home the game winner with only 4:21 left on the clock to give the men in yellow the victory. Martin Lawrie and Ben Kielb also contributed for Kilrich.
Shawn Kinsella and Jeff Jensen replied for the Medical men.
Tim Hortons 8 Titanium Storage 3
Kyle was Rolling on Sunday as the oldtimers newcomer served up a hat trick for Timmies. Mark Bowen notched a pair in victory, and single cookies came from Peter Kirby, Dave Ecker and Lorne Burnett. Josh Savill continued his torrid early season pace with a pair for Titanium, and Tyson Wirth got the other.
