Dainton delivered a dandy as goalie Paul stopped a Yukon Inn barrage to lead EDI to a 5-0 blanking of the league's top team Sunday night in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action at Takhini Arena. The statistician on site estimated Yukon Inn unsuccessfully fired more than 40 shots on net. The whitewash was Dainton's second in a row, and Greg Charlie (with a trio) and Dustin Heffner (with a duo) supplied the offence for EDI.

Kilrich 6 Air North 1

Kilrich's full bench wore down the Jets as six different snipers connected for the builders – Arlo O'Riordan, Ben Kielb, Mark King, Martin Lawrie, Anthony Grottoli and Ron Cruikshank connected.

Jeff Kalles scored his career best first goal of the season to spoil the shutout.

CapriCMW 4 Firth 4

Joe Morrison scored with 1:47 left on the clock to cap a Capri comeback and earn his team the tie. Scott Palfreyman added two markers, and Ron Billingsley chipped in one.

For Firth, it was Frank Aucoin with two, and Michel Dubois and Peter Johnston with one apiece.

Medicine Chest 10 Titanium Storage 4

Shawn Kinsella deked a hat trick (one a shorty), Derek Bilodeau and Kevin Topping each added two, and Pete Mostyn, Pat Shaw and Jeff Hunston added one each.

Josh Savill led the Titanium offence with a hat trick, and Bill Bohmer got the other.

Thursday

EDI 2 Air North 0

Paul Dainton was, like, awesome as he stopped a swarming air attack to lead EDI to the win. Kevin Johnstone and Dustin Heffner scored to support the shutout.

Yukon Inn 5 Firth 1

Five different skaters scored as the Inn won the battle of the top two teams. Gary McKellar, Greg Lane, Tom Ullyett, Gerry Brandt and Joel Witten did the damage for the victors, and Danny Johnson replied for Firth.

Wednesday

Kilrich 5 Tim Hortons 0

Gerald Tetlichi posted the second shutout of the week as he stopped all the donuts fired at him. Mark King potted a pair, and Arlo O'Riordan, Ben Kielb and Ron Cruikshank each hammered home one.

CapriCMW 7 Medicine Chest 5

Phil was phantastic as MacDonald scored two of his three goals in the second period to lead Capri to the win in a game they trailed 5-1 at one point. Ron Billingsley also collected a hatty, and Peter Deer added a solo shot.

Kevin Topping and Shawn Kinsella each netted two for MC, and Pat Shaw added one.

In league standings, Yukon Inn has a healthy lead with 38 points, followed by Firth with 31. Kilrich is in third with 25 points.

Firth's Frank Aucoin continues to lead in goals (36) and points (55). The Chest's Shawn Kinsella (28G, 20A) and Kevin Topping (18G, 20A) are second and third, respectively. The two Chest snipers also co-lead the league in assists.

Not surprisingly, based on his stellar performance this past week, including two shutouts, EDI's Paul Dainton leads the goalies with a 2.56 Goals Against Average. The Inn's Glen Traverse is second with a 2.86 GAA, followed by Kilrich's Gerald Tetlichi with an even 3.00 GAA.

The Inn's Glen Traverse leads all goalies in wins with 17. Four goalies, including Dainton, are tied for second with nine wins apiece.
