Dave Bakica scored only one of the 18 goals (yes, 18!) in this game, but it was the winner, as Air North outlasted Titanium Storage 10-8 in a wild affair in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action Sunday at Takhini Arena.
George Maratos was the Jets' ace with three goals, Kirk Price and Scott Olafson netted two each, and solo shots came from Brian Currie and Dave White. Titanium was led by Luke Johnson's four markers, Tyson Wirth added two and Kris King and Russ McDiarmid added one apiece.
Tim Hortons 5 Medicine Chest 2
Mike Blower continued his torrid scoring pace with two goals, and Dave Wipf, Marcel Barrault and Chris Nash dunked one each. Kent Pigott and Gerry Rivest took care of the MC scoring.
Firth 4 Kilrich 2
Firth closed within three points of first place Yukon Inn with the victory. Duane Purych, Frank Aucoin, Alfred Feldman and Colin Nash supplied the offence for the Rangers. Kilrich counters came from Doug Cote and Doug Janzen.
CapriCMW 6 Yukon Inn 2
Capri stretched their unbeaten streak to three games with the win. Scott Palfreyman again led the charge with a hat trick, Kerry Pettitt added two and Mike Gau potted the other in the win. Gary McKellar and Gerry Brandt replied for the Inn.

Tim Hortons 5 Titanium Storage 5
Matt Johnson scored on an end-to-end rush to tie it for Tim's with only 4.4 seconds left on the clock. Dave Wipf delivered two in the saw-off, and Mark Bowen and Mike Blower added one each. For the Storage crew it was Tyson Wirth with a pair, and team owner Rick Moses, Blaine Demchuk and Luke Johnson with singles.
Medicine Chest 11 Kilrich 4
Nate Clark, Pete Mostyn, Derek Bilodeau and Gerry Rivest each filled the net with braces, and Kent Pigott, Jeff Hunston and Ben Campbell rifled home one each for MC. Kilrich countered with two goals from Arlo O'Riordan and singles from Martin Lawrie and Dermot Flynn.

Scott Palfreyman scored for Capri and George Maratos for Air North in this goaltenders' battle, as Rob Clarke (Capri) and Floyd McCormick (Jets) were stellar in their creases.
EDI 3 Firth 1
Gus Morberg scored the game winner with just over six minutes remaining in this dandy high-tempo game. Luke Sugden and Dustin Heffner (empty-netter) also scored for EDI, who won for the sixth time in seven games. Ryan Martin was the only Ranger to dent the mesh.
