Gerald ‘Fuhr’ Tetlichi stood on his head (that’s what he said) in leading Kilrich to a 3-0 win over EDI in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action Sunday at Takhini Arena. Steve Arrell, Ron Daub and Mark King supplied the offence for the builders.
Tim Hortons 5, Firth 4
Kyle Rolling scored the game winner with eight minutes to go to lead the Tims team over previously unbeaten Firth.
Chris Nash, Chris Lane, Bernie Adilman and Peter Kirby also netted goals in the win. Frank Aucoin collected a hat trick for Firth, and Peter Johnston added the other.
Air North 3, Medicine Chest 3
Stu Mackay rifled home the game winner with only 41 ticks left on the clock to give the airmen the tie. Mike Sage and Kirk Price scored the other for the orange crew. Nate Clark netted two more, and Pat Shaw added a single for the Chest.
Yukon Inn 8, Titanium Storage 2
Gerry Brandt served up a four-topping performance to lead the Inn to the win. Geordan Clark sniped two as well, and Reggie Laguerre and team GM Joel Witten added one apiece. Luke Johnson and Tyson Wirth replied in the loss.
Thursday
The Greek god of goalscoring was watching over George Thursday night as Maratos notched a hat trick to propel Air North to a 7-4 win over Titanium Storage in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action at Takhini Arena.
Brian Currie, Kirk Price, oldtimers newcomer Adam O’Dell and the ageless Stu Mackay also scored in the win. Josh Savill continued his goalscoring onslaught with two for Titaniun, and Chris Carli also collected two markers.
Nate Clark returned from a successful hunting trip to make his first appearance of the season and he harvested two goals to lead Medicine Chest to a 6-2 win over Tim Hortons. Pat Shaw, Kevin Topping, Rick Smith and Pete Mostyn also tallied in triumph, while Mike Blower and Mark Weaver responded for Tim’s.
Gremlins got loose in the arena Wednesday night, forcing the postponement of those games.
