WOHL: Price is right as Kirk scores last minute winner for Air North

Price’s hard work paid off earlier as he cashed in a second marker, and Dave White (!) and Dave Bakica also landed goals. Kevin Topping had tied the game with 1:33 left with his second goal of the game, and Derek Bilodeau added a single in the loss.
EDI 6, Kilrich 1
The EDI attack was dynamic as six sneaky snipers scored singles - Gus Morberg, Pat Tobler, Greg Charlie, Vernon Asp, Matt Wallace and Dustin Heffner. Ron Cruikshank was the lone Kilrich skater to connect.
Firth 6, Tim Hortons 3
Frank Aucoin’s two goals late in the final period broke open a tight game as the Rangers doubled the Tims’ team. Michel Dubois also popped a pair and one each came from Colin Nash and George Skookum. Timmies’ tallies came from Mike Blower, Chris Lane and Doug Terry.
Yukon Inn 12, Titanium Storage 3
Greg Lane scored four times, Reggie Leguerre three, Brad Hameister and Geordan Clark two each, and Joel Witten one in the win. Tyson Wirth potted two for Titanium and Josh Savill got the other.
Thursday
Tim Hortons 4, Medicine Chest 4
Mark Bowen slammed home a shorthanded backhander with only 2:48 remaining to help Tims salvage a 4-4 tie with MC. Bernie Adilman, Dave Wipf and Mike Blower also tallied for Tims. For the Chest, Kevin Topping topped the scoring with a pair, and Jeff Jensen and Pat Shaw added singles.
Air North 7, Titanium Storage 5
Seven different players piloted in goals in the balanced Jets’ attack - Brian Currie, George Maratos, Kirk Price, Adam O’Dell, Lester Balsillie, Dave White (!) and Dane Freiburger. Josh Savill continued to pace Titanium with a trio of goals, and one apiece came from Eric Chalmers and Tyson Wirth.
Wednesday
Kilrich 6, Firth 5
Ben Kielb scored the winner with 4:37 left in this fiesty affair. Mark King added a pair, and Doug Janzen, Doug Cote and Anthony Grottoli each netted one. Five different snipers ensured that Firth got on the board - Frank Aucoin, Peter Johnston, Jeremy Germaine, Michel Dubois and Mervin Jacobsen.
Yukon Inn 9, CapriCMW 2
Gerry Brandt and Geordan Clark were cookin’ for the Inn with a hatty each, and Reggie Leguerre, Joel Talbot and Greg Lane chipped in the others. Capri got a brace from Mike Gau.
League Standings
The Yukon Inn continues to lead the standings with 46 points (22-4-2). TA Firth isn’t out of reach in second with 39 points (17-5-5). Kilrich trails in third with 31 points (13-10-5).
Firth’s Frank Aucoin continues his mastery over the goal (43) and points (66) scoring races. The Chest’s Shawn Kinsella is a distant second with 51 points (31G, 20A). Titanium’s Josh Savill has moved up to third in scoring with 46 points (32G, 14A).
Glen Traverse of the Inn tops the Goals Against parade with a sparkling 2.70 average. EDI’s Paul Dainton is second with a 2.78 GAA. Air North’s Floyd McCormick is flying high in third with a 3.35 GAA.
Traverse also leads in goalie wins with 21. Dainton and Firth’s Stacey Bowden are tied for second with 13 wins apiece.
