Josh Savill scored twice to help Tim Hortons snap a four-game streak of donuts in the points column in a 5-1 victory over CapriCMW in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action Sunday at Takhini Arena. Stu MacMillan, Bernie Adilman and Dave Wipf also tallied for Tims, while Mark King replied for Capri.

EDI 6, Medicine Chest 5

Willy McKenna’s third goal of the game with only two seconds left on the clock was the difference in this matchup of league frontrunners. Geoff Quinsey added a pair for EDI and Rick Gingell got the other. MC was led by Jeremy Germaine’s two markers, and single scores from Jamie Cairns, Phil MacDonald and Mike Gau.

Yukon Inn 7, Air North 5

Greg Lane potted a pair for YI, and Frank Aucoin, Chris Lane, Sean MacLeish, Wade Hanna and Adam Lightfoot contributed one apiece. The air crew got two from George Maratos, and singles from Mike Sage, Mike Jim and Dave White.

Titanium Storage 4, Kilrich 2

Scott Palreyman released some stored up energy with a couple of goals, and Peter Kirby and Scott Legge filled the net as well. Marcel Barrault and Chris Nash repled in defeat.

Thursday

EDI 7, Titanium Storage 2

Willy McKenna and Dustin Heffner led the charge with two goals each for EDI, with Rick Gingell, Gus Morberg and Derek Bilodeau adding the others. Titanium goalscorers were Gary McKellar and Lance Bevilacqua.

Kilrich 8, CapriCMW 1

Nate Clark was all over the ice with three goals and two helpers, Shawn Kinsella chipped in a pair, and singles came from Ben Kielb, Chris Nash and Marty O’Hagan. Anthony Grottoli spoiled the shutout.

Wednesday

Yukon Inn 7, Tim Hortons 3

Adam Lightfoot and Pete Mostyn each netted two, and Chris Lane, Mike Blower and Erik von Flotow took care of the remainder of the Inn scoring. Responding for Tims were Bernie Adilman, Josh Savill and Terry Joss.

Medicine Chest 7,
Firth Rangers 5

A hatty by Michel Dubois paced MC, and one each came from Jeremy Germaine, Jamie Cairns, Ron Sumanik and Mike Gau. Five different skaters hit the back of the net for Firth - Kevin Topping, Peter Johnston, Wayne Potoroka, Jeff Kalles (?!) and Marcello Masone.

EDI continues to lead the overall standings with 27 points (13-4-1). Kilrich sits second with 25 points (11-4-3). Medicine Chest rounds out the top three with 23 points (11-5-1).

Jamie Cairns maintains a lead in the scoring derby with 39 points (16 goals, 23 assists) in only 14 games.

Tim’s Josh Savill is in second with 34 points (22 G, 12 A) in 18 games.

EDI’s Gus Morberg is third with 34 points (20 G, 14 A) in 15 games. Among the goaltenders, Tim’s Paul Dainton maintains his stranglehold on the Goals Against Average lead with a paltry 1.71 GAA.

Kilrich’s Jim Antonisson leads the league in goalie wins with 11.
