Team Yukon is experiencing early success at the 2022 XC Nationals at Whistler Olympic Park.

Sonjaa Schmidt finished first in the U20 Women 5 km free technique Sunday. She followed that up with a third in the U20 Women 10 km classic on Monday.

Dahria Beatty came in second in the Senior Women 5 km free on Sunday as well.

Several of the Yukon skiers achieved top-10 results.

"It was a great first day at the Ski Nationals for the Yukon Ski team skiers," said Yukon head coach Alain Masson, following Sunday's races.

The XC Nationals run until March 27.
