A sizzling Stacy Bowden had a big week for EDI.

New oldtimer Mike McCormick roofed a rebound for his first goal of the season, and Bowden recorded her second straight shutout, as EDI downed CapriCMW 4-0 in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action Sunday at Takhini Arena. Rick Gingell, Derick Bilodeau and Ty Heffner also scored as the Dynamics took over first place in the league standings with the triumph. Brian Power was heroic in net for Capri.

Yukon Inn 8, Kilrich 6

Frank Aucoin booked a hat trick for the winners in this wild affair. Pete Mostyn added two, and singles came from Mike Blower, Sean McLeish and Chris Lane. Kilrich was led by Ryan Martin with a pair, and solos from Duane Purych, Shawn Kinsella, James Pugsley and Mark Bowen.

Air North 6, Tim Hortons 3

Dave White (!!) shovelled in a couple of two-footers to pace the pilots, and Mike Sage, Mike Jim, Ed van Randen and Travis Ritchie also scored. Josh Savill netted all three in defeat.

Titanium Storage 7, Firth 6

Scott Palfreyman’s fourth goal of the game with only 1:33 on the clock stood as the winner for the Titans. Peter Kirby added a duo, and Jeff Hunston rounded out Storage’s scoring. Devon Slade fired in three for Firth, and Marcello Masone, Jordan Borgford and Kevin Topping also connected.

Thursday

CapriCMW 10, Firth 3

Capri won their first game of the season in convincing fashion, as team GM Mark King scored once and added seven assists in the victory. Anthony Grottoli netted four goals, Arlo O’Riordan added a hat trick, and Dave Bakica and Dan Johnson rounded out the scoring. Jordan Borgford popped a pair for Firth and Kevin Topping chipped in one.

EDI 5, Yukon Inn 0

Stacy Bowden recorded her first shutout of the season for the victors. Supplying the offence were Michael Svoboda, Ty Heffner, Geoff Quinsey, Dustin Heffner and Gus Morberg.

Wednesday

Medicine Chest 4, Titanium Storage 2

Four different medicine men supplied the scoring - Jamie Cairns, Mike Gau, Geordan Clark and Peter Deer. The Titans got both of their goals from Scott Palfreyman.

Kilrich 8, Air North 5

Seven skaters scored for the lumber lads - Ben Kielb (2), Chris Nash, Ryan Martin, Mark Bowen, Marcel Barrault, Shawn Kinsella and Danny Horassi. Ron Billingsley landed a hatty for Air North, and Colin Nash scored twice, one which is a candidate for goal of the year as he walked the entire Kilrich crew.

EDI (11-4-1) tops the standing with 23 points, tied with Kilrich (10-3-3) on points, but ahead on wins. Medicine Chest sits in third with 21 points (10-4-1).

Chest’s Jamie Cairns leads the scoring parade with 35 points (14 goals, 21 assists).

Among golaies, Paul Dainton holds down first place with a 1.77 Goals Against Average.

Kilrich’s Jim Antonisson leads in the win column with 10 victories.
