10 HEAD OVER HEELS – In this multiple exposure image, Kent Bretzlaff performs a loop – an aerial somersault – in his kayak during the annual Yukon Canoe and Kayak Club rodeo. Held at multiple locations on the Yukon River, paddlers competed in a number of different disciplines including the whitewater rodeo, a slalom race and a downriver race.

Water levels were at their prime for the annual Yukon Canoe and Kayak Club rodeo
Water levels were at their prime for the annual Yukon Canoe and Kayak Club rodeo on the Yukon River Wednesday night. Paddlers and boogie-boarders tackled the popular play feature upstream of the pedestrian bridge on the Millennium Trail.
They flipped rafts and weaved through slalom gates and finally, as the sun sunk further in the sky, they raced an all out sprint from the dam to the bridge.
