Langbakks, MacDonald dominate Snowboard Yukon Champs

The Langbakk family, led by 13-year old Stian, dominated the Snowboard Yukon Championships.

The Langbakk family, led by 13-year old Stian, dominated the Snowboard Yukon Championships.

The Championships were held Saturday and Sunday at Mount Sima.

Stian Langbakk won the Coyote Park champs Open category Saturday with a score of 96 on his second run.

Seamus MacDonald registered multiple wins in his age categories.

MacDonald captured the U16 Male title with an 80.75 score.

Sascha Nelson finished first in the U16 Female category.

Eli Marsh won gold in 15 to 17 Male.

In the Pokey Park Saturday, Poppy Spiers Leung took first in U10 Female.

Luca Kwan-Teau took first in U10 Male.

Eva Benkert came in first in the 11-12 Female category.

Seamus MacDonald also grabbed a win in 11-12 Male.

Lily Harvey took first in 13-14 Female.

Will Stenzig captured first in 13-14 Male.

Sascha Nelson double-dipped with first in the 15-17 Female category.

Jake Wykes finished first in the RAD category.

In Snowboard Cross on Sunday, Poppy Speirs Leung came in first in U10 Female.

Léon Borlase finished first in U10 Male.

Eva Benkert was first in 11-12 Female.

Seamus MacDonald continued his excellent weekend with first in 11-12 Male.

Aven Sutton came in first in 13-14 Female.

Eli Wolsky captured 13-14 Male.

Riley Boland won the 15-17 Female.

Johnny Lindsay took the RAD category.

Gabe Rivest captured the Open.

In the Fam Jam, Langbakk Benkert – Stian and Brent Langbakk and Eva and Johannes Benkert – captured first overall.
