The Yukon Squash League continues to swing for the fences. Or walls.

The action takes place at Better Bodies courts with seven teams in two divisions challenging each other for local squash supremacy every Tuesday and Thursday evening.

In league play, five to six players per team battle one-on-one with their adversaries on other teams.

Matches are best-of-five games, and players earn team points for games and matches won.

In Division 1 play Tuesday night, there was little daylight between the teams:

– A rare result saw Ecological Logistics & Research edge Yukon Tree Services 18-17 while winning just two matches out of five; wins by Jordan Barker and Nikhil Sharma were all ELR needed.

Stantec squeaked by Landed Bakehouse 17-15, with wins by Jeff Muirhead, Paul Dainton andTerri Cairns.

The Electrical Shop defeated Grizzly Electric 19-16, sparked by the strong play of Stephen Buckler, Carly Bohman and Adam Humphrey.

Chilkoot Chiropractic & Rehab had the bye.

Division 2 play on Thursday night saw two dominant wins and a draw:

Silver Ghost Contracting defeated Northern Futures 22-13, with wins by Daniel Sokolov, Neil Clark (twice!) and Lindsay Knezevich. Atypically, five of six matches were three-game sweeps.

PR Services defeated Precision North Mechanical 25 -11, with wins by Colin Schut, Paul Payne, Thomas Mills (sub), Luke Bakica, and Aashna Jhunjhunwala.

– Another rare result saw Steadfast Electrical and Meadia Solutions battle to a 15-15 draw. Winners for Steadfast were Danile Sokolov (sub), Harrison Brody and Samantha Hand, while Maxime Mazoulle and Jake Kitchen (sub) won for Meadia Solutions.

Arctic Training had the bye this week.
