The family is holding a celebration of life on July 19, 2023 for Margaret Ellen Yeulet (Graham) who passed away surrounded by her family on December 20, 2022, in Whitehorse.

Born in Masset, Queen Charlotte Islands on June 9, 1931, Marg as she was known to many, was the youngest of 6 children. Her four brothers Curly, Frank, George, Chuck and her sister May.

In 1935 Marg moved with her family to Atlin, where her father was a Minister at the Anglican Church, and then later moved to Whitehorse where she met Colin Yeulet. They were married in 1951, and had three children, George, John and Joanne. Her family was the love of her life, which grew to include 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

When Marg got involved with the Young Peoples Association in her late teens, it was the start of her volunteering services. She was a kind soul who spent a lifetime giving to others. Marg was well known for her time spent at the Hospital visiting patients and working the tuck cart. Marg also spent countless hours visiting residents of the various seniors lodges in Whitehorse. She was an active participant of the Golden Age Society, but her passion was being a member of the Yukon Order of Pioneers Ladies Auxiliary, of which she earned her lifetime membership.

Marg liked to give rather than receive! Collecting stuffed animals at Christmas to repair, wash and then to donate to the children who would love a “stuffy” to cuddle. She always had a room in her house, usually in disarray, with her sewing machine, craft supplies, and cupboards full of material, to create projects to donate to children as well as seniors. Marg’s home was always available to women from outside Whitehorse waiting to deliver their babies as well as anyone in need of a bed, a meal or just a visit to be with her sharing her warmth and kindness.

In 2004 Marg was presented the Commissioners Award for her dedication to community involvement and her lifetime of volunteering services and public service. This was a very special honour and one she was very proud of it.

The family would like to thank the Thomson Centre staff and doctors for their compassion and care while mom lived with Alzheimers.

There will be a service for Margaret at Christ Church Cathedral, 4th and Elliott Street, Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception in Hellaby Hall. Please join George (Wendy), John (Arlene), and Joanne (Dennis), to celebrate the wonderful person Mom was. The family will have a private service in Atlin, where she will be set to rest with her parents.
