Bruce was my chemistry class team-mate at Antioch High School. Thankfully, he did all of the lab assignments. We did much better with his results than with mine. It is clear that his work habits, personality, intelligence, and overall likeability stayed with him throughout his life.

He diagnosed me with cancer. I remember he was so empathetic and concerned. My best ever doctor. We diagnosed my treatment together. Loved the man for his honesty and concern. My ideal doctor.

Dr. Beaton spent almost all of his professional life in the Yukon. He served in many of the communities in his capacity as a physician. He contributed a great deal of his time to helping build and sustain the Yukon Medical Association, the organization that contributes to retaining doctors in the Yukon. He will be missed.
