By Vince Fedoroff on July 3, 2018

Canada Day featured the usual assortment of diversity Canada is known for.

The parade appeared to be larger than last year’s. The Juneau Police Honour Guard was attending festivities. Commissioner Angélique Bernard raised the flag and cut the cake with thousands of people in Shipyards Park.

As well, the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre presented special performances for the day. The Dakká Kwáan Dancers shared their culture through dance to start the afternoon main stage events. Huge crowds lined up for many ethnic cuisine treats. The Rotary Club ducks took their annual plunge and the BYTE Skateboard competition took place.
