Yukon RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing man.

Chad McGill, 51, was last seen in his vehicle in the Whitehorse area between Wednesday and Friday of last week.

His vehicle is described as a  2019 red Kia Stinger, with British Columbia licence plate PB551E.

At approximately  5:45  p.m. last Friday, McGill’s vehicle was found abandoned.

It had been parked facing east on the Alaska Highway, between kilometres  1474  and  1476, just east of the Kluane Wagon Road.

“It is believed the car stayed at that location until it was towed on August  27,” police said Tuesday.

“Chad McGill was not with the vehicle, and his whereabouts are unknown.

“Chad McGill has not been found and there is concern for his well-being.”

He is described as Caucasian, six feet (183  cm) tall, weighing 260  lbs. (118  kg.), with blond hair and blue eyes.

He wears a metal prosthetic (left leg).

Police want to speak with anyone with information on his whereabouts, or who saw his vehicle in the Whitehorse area last week.

“The investigators involved also want to follow up with anyone who may have picked up McGill, or observed someone matching his description on the Alaska Highway,” police said.

Members of the public can contact local police, call directly to the “M” Division Historical Case Unit at 667-5500, or email MDIV_HCU@rcmp-grc.gc.ca
