January 16, 1901. A new gold strike six miles below Livingstone creek giving rise to new and shorter paths to get to the site. The snow blockade is the result of an avalanche. W.P.&Y.R. passengers are stranded for 6 long days until parts for the rotary plow can be brought from Skagway for repairs.
