Super “A” wins golf division

Total Trac Yukon and Super “A” are both divisional champions in this year’s Mountainview Men’s Commercial Golf League.

With one week to go in the schedule the first place spot in both the Palmer and Nicholas divisions have been decided.  Second place in the two divisions is up for grabs and as many as three teams are in contention. 

Next week’s format will be stroke play and will decided who is in the playoffs.

This week the league used Individual Match play and the big winners were Total Trac Yukon, Northwestel, Yukon Tire Mechanical, and Sandor’s Selects.

Total Trac Yukon posted eight points in Thursday’s competition, which brought the team’s total to 87.

Missing Links presently has a slim one point advantage in the Palmer division over Matco Transportation, while Feature Foods is in fourth with 73 points.

Other teams in the Palmer division include Northwestel, EMCO Ace Holes, Yukon Tire Mechanical, P & M Recycling, Macdonald & Co., Sandor’s Selects, Royal Bank, Ketza Construction, Skookum Asphalt, Howie’s Hackers, Roadhouse Offsales Relics and Northern Knights.

Super “A” has a total of 75 points, which is nine points a head of Pour Rite Construction.

Other teams in the Nicholas division include Pacific Northwest Moving, The Chain Gang, Shoppers Drug, MacKay LLP, Kal Tire, Irving Collision, Narrow Gauge, Triple “J” Services, Whitehorse Business Mach, Olson Construction, Roadhouse Bar & Grill and Talmark Construction.
