Roche Firth Financial to play Assante in Tuesday night squash final
The bulk of the team may be young, but the members on Underhill have proven they are capable of playing beyond their years in the Thursday Night Squash League.
Roche Firth Financial managed to pull off a thrilling opening playoff round upset against the top team in the Tuesday Night Squash League.
Both teams scored 14 points in their match, but Firth managed to advance after finishing with a higher match rating of 96 to MEADIAsolutions’ 77.
MEADIAsolutions had an outstanding season, which saw the team accumulate 284 points, including a staggering 124 points in the opening round.
All together there were three rounds in the league’s season, which each consisted of seven weeks of competition.
Each of the squash league’s seven teams had one bye per round.
The top four teams qualified for the Tuesday Night Squash League playoffs, with the first place team in the standings played the fourth, while second played the third place finisher. Fifth and sixth also play for bragging rights.
Roche Firth Financial finished with 248 points, which included the team winning 88 points in the third and final round to help them finish in fourth.

MEADIAsolutions 14, Roche Firth Financial 14
Kyle Marchuck and Jean-Francois Roldan pitched in with the majority of the offense for Roche Firth Financial, each scoring six points in the win.
Chris Ziegler was also essential in the victory, finishing with two points in total.
Gord Starko and Trevor Mead-Robins put on a dominant performance for MEADIAsolutions, each contributing six points for the team in the loss.
Jim Gilpin and Mark Tubman also helped out, each finishing with one point.

Assante 16, Yukon Brewing 12
Terri Cairns and Chris Toleman led the way for Assante, each scoring six points, while Elmy Harris played a solid match, finishing with three points in the victory.
John Kremer finished with the most points on Yukon Brewing, who placed second in the league standings, with six in total, while Blaine Tessier contributed five points in the team’s loss.

Pizza Hut 13, Kilrich 7
Steve Fecteau scored six points for Pizza Hut, while Chris Cullingham finished with five points.
Lars Johansson scored six of Kilrich’s seven points, while Richard Meredith finished with the remaining point in the loss.
