Capital Cup tennis tournament to renew rivalry between Whitehorse and Juneau
Tennis Yukon is set to host the revived Capital Cup tennis tournament on July 25-27.
Tennis Yukon is set to host the revived Capital Cup tennis tournament on July 25-27.
The tournament is an inter-city challenge between Juneau and Whitehorse.
The original Capital Cup has been located in Juneau, and will be brought to the tournament, which should provide lots of incentive for the Yukon athletes to win it back.

All cheques must be made payable to Tennis Yukon.
Currently it looks like Juneau has about 20 people coming. So far there are about 12 Yukon players registered.
The cost to participate in tournament is $15 for Tennis Yukon members, while non members must pay $20. The fee includes a courtside barbeque on Saturday night.
There will also be a cash beer garden with beverages provided by Yukon Brewing.
The different divisions include, Men’s Singles (may split into ability divisions depending on number of entries)
Women’s Singles A and Women’s Singles B. Men’s Doubles (please indicate your partner or if you would like to be matched with a partner)
Women’s Doubles (please indicate your partner or if you would like to be matched with a partner)
Mixed Doubles (please indicate your partner or if you would like to be matched with a partner)
Junior Boys (may split into age divisions depending on number of entries).
Junior Girls (may split into age divisions depending on number of entries) Junior players who are a level 3 or higher may enter adult draws.
All match scores will be tallied to arrive at a “team” total and will determine which side takes home the Capital Cup.
