The Boston Pizza/Yukon Rad Hawks have this year’s bragging rights in the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League’s “A” Division.
The team polished off the Air North Jets in two straight games on Friday and Saturday in their best of three series.
Boston Pizza won both games by an impressive score of 6-3. The team finished with an overall record in the 2007-08 playoffs of 6-1.
Their only loss was against Cinderwood in the opening round.
The Hawks scored all six goals in Friday’s first game of the league’s final series in the opening period.
Balanced scoring also helped them get the win in Game 1 against the Jets. Boston Pizza had six different goal scorers in the game.

Lance Brown finished with an impressive three points for Boston Pizza, with one goal and two assists.
Derek Johnstone and Dave Pearson also scored once and each contributed one assist.
Other goal scorers on the team included Trevor Twardochleb, Bryan Curial and Rob Johnson.
The team also had contributions from Nelson Turnbull, Jamie Ezerza, Barry Blisner,Jordan Borgford and Dean Mastranchelo, who each added one assist in the victory.
Tim MacIntosh led the way for Air North, finishing with one goal and one assist, which was the most points recorded on the team.
Willy McKenna and Ryan Kinney also finished with one goal, while Greg Charlie contributed one assist in the loss.
In Game 2 of the series, Barry Blisner showed off his offensive capabilities for Boston Pizza, scoring a hat trick and adding one assist, while Dave Pearson and Rob Johnson each contributed one goal and one assist.
Lance Brown scored the remaining goal for the team, while Jamie Edzera and Derek Johnstone each finished with two assists in the victory.
Ryan Kinney played a strong game for Air North in the loss, finishing with one goal and two assists.
The team’s other two goal scorers were Scott Horsey and Tim McLeiland, while Ben Harper finished with two assists in the loss.
