Vector Research wins in U-9 Soccer League

The players on Vector Research put on a defensive clinic Thursday in the U-9 Soccer League.
The team shutdown opponents Impact Well Drilling, winning by a score of 3-0.

The MVP for Vector Research was JJ Cannings, while Gordon Cook won the MVP honours for Impact Well Drilling.

Hannah Dueling won Murraya Dental’s MVP honours for her stellar play on the field in the team’s victory.

Ashley Harris was named as MVP, helping Yellow Truck Excavating get the win over the Yukon News in Thursday’s contest.

U-11 Soccer League: May 28

Prime Meridian 5, Jacobs Industries 1
Balanced scoring was imperative in Prime Meridian’s victory over Jacobs Industries Wednesday in the U-11 Soccer League.
The team had five separate goal scorers in the win.
Goal scorers on Prime Meridian included Howard Coyne, Yuranty Pourier, Brendan Irish, Bradon Lefler and Odessa Beatty, who was also named as team MVP. 
Jacobs Industries lone goal scorer was Alex Hansen and the team’s MVP was Hanna Wirth.

Henry Gultch Exploration 2, Surgical Incisions 2
Marcus Deuling led all scorers, notching both of Henry Gultch Exploration’s goals in the tie.
Henry Gultch Exploration’s MVP was Cody Sims. 
The two goal scorers for Surgical Incisions were Samantha Wintemute and Chyanne Spenner, while Sinney Evans was named as MVP.

U-12 Soccer League: May 28

EVF Fuelwood 3, Sportslife 1
Aidan Uiterwaal scored the majority of the goals for EVF Fuelwood, finishing the game with two in total.
The team’s other goal scorer was Kieran Morehouse and EVF Fuelwood’s MVP was Kieran Halliday.
Sportslife lone goal was scored by Landon Worsfold, who was also named as the team’s MVP.

U-13 Soccer League: May 27

Whitehorse Star 4, Wintemute Electric 2
Mark Shehata led the offensive contribution for the Whitehorse Star, notching two goals in the team’s victory.
The team’s other two goal scorers were JJ Paul and Emily Dorosz, while the MVP was Mike Amireault.
Both goals for Wintemute Electric were scored by Michael Wintemute and the team’s MVP was Foreste Martin.

U-16 Soccer League: May 27

Kal Tire 14, Mackay and Partners 8
Robbie Borud led both teams in scoring in the U-16 Soccer League Tuesday, finishing with an incredible total of six goals.
Matthew Pollard also displayed his offensive capabilities, notching a hat trick, while Cody Lessard contributed two goals in the win.
Kal Tire’s other two goal scorers were Hana Val and Michael Donohoe, while the MVP honours went to Sarah Meister. 
Jordan Holway finished with a hat trick for Mackay and Partners, while Aiden McIntyre and Brett Hills combined for four of the team’s goals, with each player scoring twice.
Mackay and Partners remaining goal scorer was Jessica Woodhouse.

Mic Mac Toyota 6, Energy North 5
David Ratcliffe didn’t hold anything back for Mic Mac Toyota, scoring a hat trick in the victory.
The team’s other goal scorers were Odette Rivard, Garet Heynen and Joel Brennan, while Maya Poirier was named as Mic Mac Toyota’s MVP.
Tyler Wiens finished with the most goals on Energy North, notching two in total, while the team’s remaining scorers were Thomas Scoffin, Mac Potter and Braden Kulych. Energy North’s MVP was Caleb Steelelane.

Alpine Bakery Team 6, EBA Engineering 5
Kyle Risbey and Travis Pumphrey combined for four of Alpine Bakery’s six goals. Each player scored twice for the team. 
Felix Bouchard and Owen Hedstrom-Langford also scored, while Alpine Bakery’s MVP was Kyle Risbey.
Will Thomson, Alex Lindsay, Marten Sealy, Ryan Burke and Travis Wilson all scored for EBA Engineering, while Gary Drinnan was name as MVP.
