There have been a bunch of news article lately touting the idea that Canada just isn't wired enough. Well, the actual phrasing uses the word "connected", but you get the idea.
Ed. note: This is an update on the cross-Canada hand-cycling trip Ramesh Ferris launched from Whitehorse on April 10 and from Victoria April 12 to raise money in the fight against polio. Ramesh is moving into the rugged terrain of Lake Superior's North Shore.

My last column dealt mainly with people who refuse to render first aid at accident scenes. I also mentioned that I believe more and more of our fellow human beings are becoming capable of performing inhuman acts. If TV, radio and newspaper reports are not proof enough already, let me give you a few examples.
As most are now aware the world is facing an ever growing food crises. Food is running out and our global populations are reaching - some would say have reached - a critical mass. The ever increasing population worldwide is the underpinning and primary cause of this and other increasing problems such as the fuel crises. The media have almost totally ignored this fact. Why?
