Yukon tennis champs crowned

Yukon tennis players hit the court last weekend at Mount MacIntyre for the Yukon Tennis Championships.

Yukon tennis players hit the court last weekend at Mount MacIntyre for the Yukon Tennis Championships.

In men’s singles, Ewan Halliday beat Shahid Sayed in two sets, 6-4, 6-1 to win the solo title.

Laurie Drummond beat Kathleen Smith in two sets, 6-2, 6-1, to take home the women’s title.

In men’s doubles, Halliday teamed up with Matthias Hoenisch. They went 2-0 in the round-robin. The doubles runners-up were Michel Gelinas and Sayed.
