Team Yukon ready to compete at Canada Summer Games

Competition begins Saturday at the 50th Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg.

Competition begins Saturday at the 50th Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg.

Representing the Yukon will be more than 100 athletes, competing in eight different sports.

The sports that are in action Saturday include basketball and soccer. Beach volleyball begins on Sunday and athletics starts on Monday.

Week 2 sports include canoe/kayak, road cycling, swimming and volleyball.

The Team Yukon flagbearer for the opening ceremonies will be Jack Amos.
