A new fab four is emerging in old-timer soccer action.

Yukon Brewing’s Mark O’Brien, Jurgen Korn, Bob Baxter and George Maratos are breaking the hearts of rival attackers with their steely defence and resolute approach.

These rocks broke wave after wave of Klondike Business Solutions attacks Saturday morning, allowing them only one goal over the entire game at the Canada Games Centre.

The Brew managed to score regularly throughout the game with Andy Todd (3), Jim Brown (2), Steve Insley (2) and Rich Potter picking up the goals.

Skipper Jim Connell scored one for KBS near the end to make the score 8-1.

Meanwhile, in the early game – held before the Spruce Boggers had woken – Pepsi saw off a spirited Quest Computers team 4-2.

Led by Irish heartthrob Eric Murphy (2) and Percy Fowler (2), they kept their noses in front to secure the win.

The gallant Quest team never gave up but it was a bridge too far for the boys in white with David Rayo and Travis Schommer getting one each.

These games came on the heels of two low-scoring affairs Nov. 16.

Last weekend, KBS’ march to the league title continued unabashed with a comprehensive 2-0 win over Pepsi.

Led by the dynamic duo of Danny Macdonald and Connell with a goal apiece, they just had too many answers to Pepsi questions.

Yukon Brewing also pulled out a 2-0 win over Quest Computers, with Insley in impressive form. He used his pace and guile to score a goal and torment the Quest defence all game.

The other marker came via an own goal after a comedy of errors on the Quest back-line.
