Dave White’s magical evening powered the Medicine Chest old-timers to their second win last night.

White scored twice – including the game-winner – and added five assists as Medicine Chest downed Joe Sparling’s Air North team at Takhini Arena.

Elgin Schwantz and Shawn Kinsella both scored hat tricks in the victory, while Jeff O’Farrell also put two goals past Sparling.

The win moves Medicine Chest atop the Whitehorse Oldtimer Hockey League standings, following their 7-5 victory over the Firth Rangers on Sunday.

The old-timer season kicked off Sunday with four games at the Canada Games Centre.

In other action last night, Kilrich edged Tim Hortons 3-2 thanks to a game-winning goal off the stick of Mike Jim.

This Saturday, members of the league will gather at the Takhini Arena mezzanine from 1 to 4 p.m. to honour the late Dave Carter, a longtime old-timer goalie.

Carter died Aug. 13 after a four-year battle with cancer.
