Corriveau, Robinson show well in all three dog powered events
The Dog Powered Sports Association of the Yukon raised $630 for the Mae Bachur Animals Shelter with a poker run at Chadburn Lake on Sunday.

The Dog Powered Sports Association of the Yukon raised $630 for the Mae Bachur Animals Shelter with a poker run at Chadburn Lake on Sunday.
The fundraiser was held in advance of the fourth event in the Hot Hound series.
In the two-mile, two-dog bikejoring race, Cynthia Corriveau placed first with a time of seven minutes and 54 seconds. Julien Rouget placed second in 8:34 while Adam
Robinson finished third in 9:12.
In the one mile, one dog bikejoring race, Robert Sieke finished first in 5:40, Robinson was second in 5:53, Corriveau was third in 6:41 and Heather Robb was four in 6:47.
In the one mile, canicross running race, Robinson finished first in 8:35, just 14 seconds ahead of second-place Grischka Gorski. Fin Pescott was third in 9:37, Corriveau
was fourth in 9:42, Laura Vinnedge was fifth in 10:07 and Wendy Morrison was sixth in 14:59.
Thirty participants turned out for the poker run in support of the shelter.
Tonja Hinchey drew the best hand for the two Air North return fares. Heather Robb took home the second-place prize of a $200 certificate for the All Paws Veterinary Clinic
and Joey Connon had the third best hand to win the $150 certificate for The Feed Store.
The association’s next event will be held on snow and skis, though the organization is planning work-bees for October and November.
