The game between Yukon Brewing and Yukon Info.com ended with honours even as they both tried to avoid the ignominy of finishing bottom of the league.

As was expected there were a lot of nervous players on the pitch, which wasn’t helped by a wave of replacements as the teams tried to create some rhythm.

Mark O’Brien got another goal for the Brew to make him the leading scorer, which tells its own story as he has been playing as a defender all season. Rich Potter scored a fine goal as he continued his good form in front of the net.

For Yukon Info, big Jürgen Korn and Ben Mercier were both celebrating goals as the game finished 2-2. The tie leaves both teams on the same amount of points but Yukon Brew has an extra game before the regular season ends.

White brings the heat

Graham White has been touring south east Asia for the last two months with the weather averaging +35C every day, he returned to over 35’s soccer and brought some of that sunshine to his game, as he inspired his Tony’s Pizzeria team to an easy 9-3 victory over champions Pepsi.

White looking fit and tanned showed his class scoring two goals, and using his speed to disrupt many Pepsi attacks.

Pepsi must have been celebrating their success the night before, as they put in an uncharacteristically poor performance, not looking as sharp as they have been all season.

Along with White’s goals, Andy Todd 2, Phil Jackson 2, Joe Morrison 2 and Justin Carre all scored for Tony’s while Guliano Rayo 2 and Simon Pulido were on target for Pepsi.

This week’s games see Klondike Business Solutions play Pepsi and Tony’s play Yukon Brewing, with Yukon Info on the bye.
