To raise funds for its activities, the Yukon Historical & Museums Association (YHMA) will host a vintage, collectibles and antiques sale in Whitehorse.

Proceeds from table rentals and YHMA sales will be used to enhance and improve downtown LePage Park and the surrounding heritage buildings.

“YHMA is currently rolling out a number of projects centred on park improvements and maintenance for the three municipally designated heritage buildings we manage,” Lianne Maitland, the YHMA’s executive director, said Tuesday.

“This sale is an extension of a series of successful markets we held in the park last summer.

“It’s a fun way to raise money and involve the community, and Rendezvous seemed like the perfect time to host a winter sale.”

There will be 20-plus tables with vintage and antique items from more than 10 vendors.

The fare will include unique and collectible items, books, jewelry, antiques of every description, artwork, knick knacks from days gone by, toys and collectibles.

The YHMA is a territorially-incorporated society and registered charitable organization that works to share a passion for Yukon heritage.

It does that by providing opportunities and support for education, networking, advocacy, partnerships, and awareness.

Saturday’s sale is set from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the old Canadian Tire store (NVD Place) on Ogilvie Street at Fourth Avenue.
