The Western Canada Lottery Corp. confirmed this morning that a July 13 LOTTO MAX ticket purchased in Whitehorse won $1 million on the night’s MAXMILLIONS draw.

The Western Canada Lottery Corp. confirmed this morning that a July 13 LOTTO MAX ticket purchased in Whitehorse won $1 million on the night’s MAXMILLIONS draw.
“This is the first full MAXMILLIONS win not only for Whitehorse, but for Yukon as a whole,” it was noted.
The winning numbers were 8, 9, 16, 17, 19, 36, 42.
The winner or winners of the prize have one year from the draw date to claim the prize. They can call 1-800-665-3313 for information on how to begin the prize claim process.
Lottery players can check their tickets by looking up the winning numbers online at www.wclc.com; scanning tickets with the WCLC lottery manager mobile app; or at retail locations on winning numbers lists, self-serve ticket checkers, and by validation at the terminal.
There are more chances for lottery players to win this week with Wednesday’s LOTTO 6/49 jackpot an estimated $7 million, plus the guaranteed $1-million prize. Friday’s LOTTO MAX jackpot is an estimated $25 million.

I'm very sorry Josey, but I believe I outnumber you as the most negative.. I don't post a lot anymore, I have moved on to the bigger issues in our country.. but I try to read what I can every day. 99% of the time, the Star doesn't censor.. that allows folks to post an honest opinion, whether anyone agree's or not..but gives a more accurate picture i think of which way the wind is blowing in our community.. As for the topic in this article.. jeez..I am so happy for someone.. Money opens up a whole world of options.. you can start that little business you've been dreaming of..or you can move out..you can buy steak!!! No judgments on the 'deserving' merit of our winner.. who ever you are..just be happy.

If those folks are living in some dump, as we have many “rental dumps” here in what was formerly known as Whitehorse...now they can move!
