Cameron Kos’ lottery win was a literal wish come true.

The Whitehorse resident’s LOTTO MAX ticket won $100,000 on the Jan. 12 EXTRA draw – just days after his birthday, the Western Canada Lottery Corp. said last week.

“I blew out the candles on my birthday cake and wished for enough money to pay all of my bills,” he said. “It must have been a magic birthday candle!”

Kos plans to put his winnings to good use by paying off his bills and helping his children.

“It’s a dream for me to be able to help my kids pay for their education,” he said.

Kos purchased his winning ticket at the Porter Creek Super A store.
